Mother

This is just a different, somewhat softer version of the Mother and Child I shared the other day.  This very soft, shade of pink with grey always gets me.

New Work

Just popping in to share some new work, new drawings and images.

I keep recreating the same sort of image. Women, mothers and bouquets for heads!

I have been working in lots of different medium and not sure what i like best so far.
This is a scanned graphite drawing mixed with a pen and ink drawing and manipulated digitally.
I have been trying watercolor, collage, laminating!
I like different things about different mediums and final images, so let's just see where this goes.

Craft-a-Doodle

I am so excited for this book, Craft-a-Doodle by Jenny Doh, as I am one of the 18 artists contributing to the book! I was so happy, and flattered to be asked by Jenny to be a part of this, she has created some wonderful books and the project was really fun to work on.
After seeing the other artists included, I really am honored to have been included.

Check the book out, not just for my work, it is a great little collection of inspiring doodles!

Flower Head

I have had a slight obsession lately (well for a while really) with flowers, on heads and faces. I still have not
completely figured out why this interests me so much...but I've been drawing them over and over. I'm sure I will continue to do so, until I do figure it out. That's how it works it seems.

These latest images, I am pretty happy with, and will likely be available in the shop soon, as prints.

Big floral bouffants almost enveloping the entire person, in soft pastel colors.
I feel there will be more, I'm not done with these ladies yet.

Seasons Quilt

I finally finished this quilt, I started and really almost completed a few years ago.
I had sewn and pieced it all together, even started on the hand-quilting, but for about 2-3 years, it just sat
unfinished in my craft room..taking up precious space.
It really took just a few nights in front of the tv, and it was done!
Now we have this cute lap quilt, and I have a tiny bit less clutter in the
craft room! Which is always important.
The adorable embroidery patterns came from
I started with these first, years ago, not sure what I'd do with the finished embroidery....
and by the time I finished, knew they would be part of a quilt.
So, it's never too late to finish up those old projects. You'll be done before you know it,
and wonder why you hadn't done it sooner!
It starts to get addicting, finding these projects, b/c they sometimes require, even just 5 minutes of your time
and then you feel accomplished, and get to move that "thing to do" off your list, and off your craft table!
